The 29-year-old central defender—who stands at an intimidating 1.85 metres—has formally joined the Blue Family, sending shockwaves through Maltese football!

In an official club statement, Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s could not hide their excitement, rolling out the red carpet for their new South American recruit:

FROM CONTRACT CHAOS TO PREMIER AMBITION

The arrival of the Samba star is nothing short of a huge statement of intent for Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s.

Felipe’s move to the club comes right on the heels of a dramatic, high-profile legal dispute with his former club, Naxxar Lions. After a controversial battle over an attempted unilateral contract extension, the Malta Football Association (MFA) stepped in to release the Brazilian back-line boss from his registration, clearing the path for this sensational summer move!

Having honed his craft in Brazil with the likes of Ponte Preta and Inter Limeira, as well as stints in Peru and Bahrain, Felipe brings a lethal combination of South American grit, tactical aerial supremacy, and calm composure on the ball.

CAN GUSTAVO FELIPE LEAD BIRŻEBBUĠA TO PREMIER LEAGUE GLORY?

Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s fans are already buzzing on social media! With the club locking in fresh talent and gearing up for an intense campaign in the VBET Malta Premier League and the Maltese FA Trophy, Gustavo Felipe is expected to become the cornerstone of their backline.

Will the Brazilian titan turn Birżebbuġa into an unbreakable fortress this season? One thing is for certain: the 2026/27 season is about to get wild!
